The Turkish Hospital pediatric Department, a brand-new facility that was made specifically with children in mind. Designed with ideas from all angles, our hospital caters to our patient’s needs and desires at every point.
Within our walls, we have created a very special place, one dedicated entirely to health, wellness, and healing as well as giving full support to both the children and the parents.
One of the cornerstones of our pediatric program is an emphasis on preventative health and wellness. Our team is focused on providing you and your child with the education, support, and services you need most to overcome any insecurity experienced by a child during treatment and follow-up.
Turkish Hospital provides high-quality comprehensive clinical care and services to infants, children, and adolescents. We are aware of the changing needs of our community and society. Our Hospital which provides unique healthcare services 24 hours a day, is made up of the following:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
This is a comprehensive unit under the charge of well-trained up-to-date accredited doctors who are experts in neonatal intensive care management. It is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment and facilities needed for the care of sick and high-risk newborns. It includes the intensive care needed for babies diagnosed as preterm and complications like pneumonia, meconium aspiration, sepsis, convulsion, birth asphyxia, etc.
Our Nursery is baby-friendly and provides the best services for healthy babies, including newborn care, nutrition, eye, and umbilical care, and follows the Hospital’s infection control policy. Breastfeeding is recommended and encouraged at our Hospital, as we provide mothers the support they need and the expertise of a well-equipped modern, and baby-friendly environment. We provide a soothing and comfortable environment both to mothers and neonates. Newborn vaccinations, assessment of prenatal growth and development, and screening for any vision or hearing problems in addition to the provision of age-appropriate preventive guidance regarding nutrition, lifestyle, and health maintenance issues. Metabolic screening is done on all our neonates.
